I run Outlook 2000 on my PC. I have removed Outlook Express because I don't need it.
Ms Update came up with (KB837009) not too long ago, so I installed it.
Then I get another update later this week. Same one ... so I clicked to Remove it on the MS web page.
Now I get it again.
I searched the MS site ... could not find anything.
Is there any way that I can stop the same package coming to the door?
thanks
Jonesy

Here's Microsoft Support's answer:
I understand that you are repeatedly asked to install Microsoft Security Update KB37009 even though you have already installed it. I know how frustrating this is on your part and we regret the inconvenience this matter has brought. Microsoft.com values you as a customer and I look forward to assisting you.
Windows Update may offer you the same update if the update you previously installed was re-published in Windows Update. Please uninstall and reinstall the update by following these steps:
1. Open Control Panel from the Start menu (you may need to click Start, then Settings to see Control Panel).
2. Open "Add or Remove Programs" or "Add/Remove Programs".
3. Click the update in question, click "Remove" or "Add/Remove", and accept the default answers to uninstall the update.
4. Restart your computer if prompted to do so.
5. Go to Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/)) and click "Scan for updates".
6. Install the update that you removed in the preceding steps.
7. Restart your computer if prompted to do so.
8. Go to Windows Update (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and click "Scan for updates".
If the update is still offered after following the instructions above, please reply to this message and provide the following details:
1. Exact version number of Windows. Right-click My Computer > Properties > Version. Or run Start > Run > cmd then type in ver.
2. Exact version number of Internet Explorer. Open IE then click Help > About IE.
Again, thank you for reporting to us this matter. Feel free to contact us again if you have other questions or concerns.
