Re Format Problem Windows 98, HELP PLEASE
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me.  After 5 years of having a virus free computer I went away for the weekend, came back and somehow someone had played with my computer and totally virused it out. I rang for help from a PC fix it company that came and charged me $90 (AUD)  to get rid of the viruses, but alas it still was having technical problems so they charged me another $80 to take it away and reformat it, I had explained I had re formatted a few times before I was quite capable but no I got sucked in!!! They said no worries we will back everything up, well it came back with a new modem and soundcard, reason unknown and nothing was backed up, I was totally gutted, I had lost 5 years of everything!!! Music, Font Collection and Pics anyway I'm still having problems, my keyboard function buttons wont work my master volume wont open I cannot operate my scanner and I for some reason cannot locate my sony cybershot removable disk driver after re installing it a million times by the book so I thought stuff that lot I will re format it myself (which I should have done from the start) well it now for the first time is coming up with this message when I put the HP Pavilion Application Recovery Disk in the hard drive "windows cannot find cloaker.exe this programe is needed for opening files of type file'." It has never done this before, what have they done???? If someone has any advise on this matter that wont charge me $80 I will be extremely happy
