can't get into specific websites

What are some of the possible reasons that you cannot enter a particular website. You can get into others. And this website, is not an adult or any other site that would be restricted.

A few possibilities:

• Site is offline - server down, site's ISP having problems etc
• Incompatibility with your browser software
• You don't have a required plug-in (often Flash) and the site isn't well enough made to recognise that and tell you the problem
• Site requires Java or JavaScript and you've not got them enabled
• You have an old/corrupted copy in your browser's cache
• The site has moved to a new server but either your ISP hasn't updated its DNS server entry for the site or you've got a cached entry in your hosts file (particularly if you're using one of these alleged surfing accellerator programs)
• Site has moved address and you have its old address

If you give us the address of the site we can do a little digging and find out if the problem is at your end or theirs
