autolauch of internet explorer--dialup connection

My icon for internet explorer usually opens
my dialup connection startup box--it does no longer--what happened? I can still manually launch the dialup box (low priority question if you are very busy

Take a look at the file menu of IE and see if it's set to work offline, and change accordingly, otherwise the connection section of Tools>Options may have some settings that are of use.

for sure! It worked! Went to Tools--internet options--under connectins--the radio button that was clicked was to never dial ---changed it to "dial whenever a network connection is not present" and voila--many thanks Steven!
