Help, I think I installed the wrong audio driver for the Optiplex GX110 at school. (I installed the audio driver because I had just wiped it and the sound was not working). I kept getting errors after I installed it. So I partitioned it and formated it.
Should this remove it? I had just partitioned it and formated it not to long ago so I nothing to lose. But when I try to reinstall the OS it will not install all the way.
Is there a way I can find out whats up w/ it?

HELP HELP Please!!! :upset:

Mac, are you lost?;)
Don't know why you just didn't remove the driver from device manager.
Well too late now.
Why not just start from scratch with a good startup disk.
Fdisk and remove all partitions.
Fdisk and reinstall the partitions and sizes you may want.
Make sure primary dos partition is activated.
Now format your drive names.
Now boot cd and setup.

Good luck.

Actually I tried that, but I could not even get into Windows. It kept giving me errors. So I got mad and wiped it. BUT GOOD NEWS (I think). Today I formated and reinstalled Win 98 and all seems to work well. Infact better than before it had a EMM386 error which I could not get rid of and now it is gone.

Thanks all
