IE 6.0 script error

Any idea what causes the error message quoted below? As a result, the browser window stays blank (IE 6.).

"An error has occured in the script on this opage. Line 43. Char 3. Error: A disk error occured during a read operation. Code: 0. URL: file://C:\windows\system\AdCache\B_476500.htm.
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?"

What web address are you trying to access when this message appears?

Normally (but not always) this is a problem with the website rather than the browser.

Thanks for your reply. It is not a website problem, it even happens on Microsoft's home page (product updates).
