Browser windows

I use IE 6 and Opera 6. I have - with either of those two - the same problem when I click on javascript buttons or URLs:

either nothing happens at all OR the opening new browser window remains completely empty

Who knows more about this??

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Not sure about what the trouble is on this one. I do know that IE 6 doesn't have the same java support that earlier versions had. Might need a plug-in for it. Never used Opera, so don't know what javascript support it has.

You may want to go into internet options for explorer and make sure the security isn't too high and preventing scripts from running. IE 6 supposedly has tighter security than previous versions. Is this a recent development?

I'm moving this to the Internet / Browsers forum where it will receive more attention.

I found the solution for Opera. I am a bit embarrassed, because it is so simple:

You have to enable on the menu >File >Quick preferences >Accept pop-up windows...

The problem in IE6 still remains: I only get a blank window ! Any smart (simple) idea ?
