need help please, accidently deleted something important

i was using the add/remove programs in the control panel to remove a certain program. but i deleted the wrong one. the one i deleted made my comp restart and when it restarted my comp was using 16 bit color and changed to a smaller screen resolution. when i went to properties to change it 16 bit was the best color fomat i could use and i coud not change the screen res. i used to have 32 bit color and my screen res used to be around 800x1000. now its much smaller. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Welcome :)

It would seem that you have uninstalled your Display/Graphics driver.

You will need to reinstall it.
Check the CD's that came with the PC or if you know the Graphics Adaptor then download the drivers from the website.

i dont know the name of the driver i deleted. i went to some website and downloaded all the drivers they had for windows 98 but i couldnt install any of them, it kept saying i have those files already. i browsed the windows98 setup disk but i dont know what to look for. if anyone knows the name of the graphics driver for win98 and where i could download it it would be greatly appreciated.

You need to find out the make/model of you Graphics Card or Chip.

If it is part of the motherboard then you need to know the Motherboard make/model.
