Installing MapPoint

A friend installed MapPoint on my laptop. I have burned all the files to a CD as I want to install MapPoint on my desktop. When I run the .exe file I get this message ' Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. To correct these settings run Set Up again for this application from where you originally installed it'

Am I not able to install his copy? Do I have to buy a new copy?

If you are trying to copy over your installed version then it will not work.

You need to run the program setup to install the program.
