Not sure if this is in the right spot, please move as needed :).
I recently just had my firewall expire so i switched to zonealarm free. It is great, but i have a one problem. The firewall will not allow me to on my network!! I have tried messing with the settings but it not's going well. Any suggestions?

Hi ,
I`ll move this to Networking.
In the meantime download this, and run it if any fiddling causes loss of internet connection
Download WinsockXPFix:http://www.iup.edu/house/resnet/winfix.shtm
Did you completely Uninstall your old firewall, reboot and then install ZA.

Hi bigfatguy
I've found that the best way to handle these sort of things is to completely uninstall ZA (through the control panel) go onto the network and then install ZA.
It will find the network connection during the install and ask if you want to allow it. BF

Howdy:
That and a pile of other quirks made me give up on Zone Alarm.. Went to the free version of Sygate Personal and will never go back to Zone Alarm especially if you are running XP SP2 !!

What is the error message when trying to acces an Network Share?
I believe the Default for ZA Firewall is High, you should set the Firewall>Trusted Zone Security to Medium.
