sending a file

I want to send a song to my friend. The file size is about 3.5 MB. I can't send it as an attachemt because the limit 1024 KB (in Hotmail). Is there any other way to send the song to her? Like a program that does things like that? I hope you can help. Thanks.

You would use something like this MP3 Surgeon.
I haven't used this particular piece of software myself. You
would need to get your friend to get this software to so
they would be able to put it back together.

er...I just noticed they wat $20.00 for it.
I'm sure someone here can point to another one or I'll post later where a freeware one is.

if you want a free program to split your files into smaller parts for emailing or storing large files on floppy disk try this one.
it's only 20kb and it's pretty easy to use.
it's called CHOP and you can use it for ANY files (not just MP3'S)

Other ways you can send the file would be:
FTP:
If you have webspace, you may be able to upload your File. Then your friend can download it from the Webspace.

Instant Message:
If you have IM software such as MSN Messenger, ICQ, AIM, you can transfer the file to your friend.
