IE 5.5 complaints / questions

I've reciently upgraded to IE 5.5.

I use to access FTP sites through the browser and the display would be text only.

Now when I access an FTP site through IE 5.5 - I get an "FTP" window with lots of icons for folders and files.

A new window now opens up for each sub-directory selected.

I don't like this - too many graphics for an FTP site - if I want pictures of things, I'll visit some HTTP sites.

Too many windows opens up, and if one looses track of them, it results in a dozen open windows. Then you got to close all the unwanted windows out.

Can I get away from this and get back to the way IE 4.XX displayed FTP sites ???

Grrrr !!!

Hey BNuts

Try going into Tools/Internet Options and then click on the Advanced Tab

Scroll down until you see "Enable FTP Folder View" and take the tick off. That should do it
