I inadvertently reinstalled Outlook Express. It doesn't look the same. And it won't let me send/receive. I called Dell, they couldn't help me. They don't handle software problems. I called Microsoft and they want $35.00 Does anyone know how I can get my other version back and successfully send/receive again?:(

Welcome to CTH. :)
Are you getting errors when sending mails?
In your OE Tools/Accounts/Email Address/Properties/Secure have you "checked on" the "My Server Requires Authentication"?
Is the POP3 server and SMTP server correct?

I'm surprised OE alowed you to reinstall it.....any case it shouldn't matter. Try going into your account properties and re-enter your POP3 and SMTP fields that were provided to you by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Click Tools >> Accounts >> Mail tab >> Then click the Propeties button >> Click the Server tab then re-enter POP3 and SMTP fields correctly.
This may be the solution, but you said that you reinstalled OE. Do you mean that you upgraded OE to a newer version or created a new email account?
More details can help
