View Full Version : Does anyone out there use Zing?

Man, oh man, I hope so! Right now I use www.honesty.com (http://www.honesty.com) to upload images to so that I can post them on boards. It's great, very simple, works, blah blah blah. But, I had been told about Zing a few months ago for the same purpose and had signed up....(Angelfire no longer allows linking). Anyway, I couldn't figure it out then, and as of today, trying again, I still can't figure it out! How do you just get the URL for your pic so you can post it? GAH! I want to know because I'm building up lots of stuff on Honesty and they might tell me to let lost pretty soon - hehe!

Thanks.

Hey Harrie, I used to use Zing...
Best way to get the URL is to go to the My Photos section. click on the photoyou want to see the full image, then just right click and select "Copy Image Location"

Zing adds a lot to the URLs unlike angelfire, yahoo and all those others.
Actually a better place to use is www.freedrive.com (http://www.freedrive.com)
They'll give you 50mb free space for storage and you can set up the file structure however you want, so basically the url ends up being real similar to a directory on a PC.

Thanks, Buzz. I will definitely go with freedrive, I think. Zing just ain't doin' it for me. Their support tech is responsive, though, I'll say that. Only, they didn't answer my specific question! Hehe. And just now when I went and right clicked, there wasn't anything for "copy image location." Maybe it's me, but I don't like the way they are set up.

Thanks for the info.

Well Bill, you've done gone and put me in the Twilight Zone! That picture is not on my Angelfire site (either one), so what the heck does that mean? I demand that you 'splain, PULEEZE! Doesn't make any sense! Is Freedrive part of Angelfire? Nah.........Help me someone, I'm drowning in confusion!

Edit: Oh, wait a minute! You're talking about the background exchange days ago, right? But you ended up getting it after all, eh? Bill, why are you doing this to me?! I'm still in the Twilight Zone! Cut this out and restore me to sanity this minute, okay? http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Okay, sane and calm here, Bill......thanks. But, I still have every intention of getting your goat. I just have to think on it for a few days! And Buzz, don't you say a word or I'll really do something drastic! I can't help it if I don't have the "instantaneously witty brilliance" the rest of you do (ha-wasn't that psychosis)??

Night, folks!

actually Angelfire works —————&gt; <IMG SRC="http://www.angelfire.com/electronic/buzzkill/images/meA.gif" border=0>

You just have to work around their little "no Hosting" thing.... it's more hassle than it's worth though.

Oh yeah I forgot about Buzz (s) little trick Harrie...He posted it somewhere---on a thread in a farrrr away place that I have no idea where. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif I believe (here comes the memory thing) you create a blank page at AF, then you
put/insert "&lt;-lack of better term" you pics, gifs, etc on that page. From there ya post from *that* page.

I think thats how it goes...?
