Just passed yesterday telemarketers calling your cell, Get in the do not call list

https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Let alone calling you at home, Now they can call your cell, And you know who pays for the incoming calls,

Register now and avoid the nonsense,
Don't say you weren't warned

I registered my phones in the do not call registry (including my cell) just in case. Here's the 411...

This is supposed to be true. I read it on a blog somewhere about a month ago. An odd thing happened this last summer to me. I found a phone directory on my front porch that had nothing but cell phone numbers in it. I didn't know they made directories for them till then. The really odd thing about it is that I live in Wyoming and it was a directory for Colorado. Explain that one to me if you can.

Also, another thing to remember about the registry is that it is only good for five years, at the end of which you need to sign up again.

this turned out to be a hoax,

"A hoax e-mail circulating the Internet has millions of Americans scurrying to add their cell phones to a national Do Not Call list to avoid telemarketers." taken from cnet.

From what I have researched and read, this is not a directory for telemarketers. Supposedly, this is ONLY for 411/directory assistance, and will not be sold to any telemarketers nor anyone else. And you will only be placed in it if you opt-in. If you do nothing, you will not be listed. I don't have the links offhand, but when I find them again I will re-post. Hope this helps!

Even if the email circulating was a "hoax" it doesn't really matter because they do have published directories of cel phones now for "directory assistance purposes". Published numbers will be called, even if only by the less reputable telemarketing agencies. I get calls on my cel every once in awhile, but I just added it to the DNC list a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty vulgar and rude to them, they probably black flag my # anyway after talking to me once.
