Hey,

I found this today, and this will be of significant interest to those who build their own webpages and websites ....

Who uses what browser ? (http://www.thecounter.com/stats/2000/October/browser.html)

Who uses what OS ? (http://www.thecounter.com/stats/2000/October/os.html)

Who uses what Screen Res ? (http://www.thecounter.com/stats/2000/October/res.html)

M$'s monopoly reigns supreme, but it is important to also include other browsers when building sites because some browsers are more "lenient" with HTML than others.

Plus, with the most used screen res being 800x600 it is important to get your resizing right.

It's amazing how many people still use 640x480 isn't it ?!?!?!

lol

The Top25 post I posted then removed Tram http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I changed my mind I was hoping no one would catch me http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I use the same browser, same res http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yea that might be a good idea about the browser version/res. I was thinking about also writing a page to act like SamSpade.org where you can trace IP's.

I changed my *test* CTHF gif some but what I don't understand is why do the frames backgrounds go back to just gray and white? They were a brownish fading into yellow. Then theres all the other mistakes I noticed once I uploaded the gif like speed frame is way to fast, borders SUCK big time etc etc. My main thing for now is this color change bit!! The colours looked great when they came out of PS.

Bill the colors depend on whether you're using web-safe colors.

Web safe colors are made up of FF, CC, 99, 66, 33, and 00 that's it. Any color with any other number or letter will change depending on what browser/platform they are viewed in. After you upload something and view it actually on the web the browser you're using may dither the colors more than when you see them on your hard drive.
