Steve,

Good to see you back mate http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif How are the Saints doing ? Stoopid question I guess huh ! http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I can tell ya this pretty much straight off - you can put flash (or swish presumably on an ezboard as a signature, but I have only ever seen flash used in signatures on UBBs on highly modified UBBs.

On ezboards you can only use marquee tags I believe assuming that HTML is on as I don't think its one of their supported ezcodes.

What format does swish save in ?

BTW dude check this out.... Click Here (http://dir.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Technical_Guides_and_Support/) http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Steve,

Glad to hear it mate http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

marquee tags are HTML. Ezcodes and UBBcodes are also HTML but made simple for those not familiar with HTML. Plus the other reason for having just Ezcodes or UBBcodes is that if they are turned on but HTML off then some HTML can be used.

Some bad HTML can crashe ezboard and ubbboards which is why most webmasters turn it off.

I "think" (though I'm gonna check this out for ya) to include a *.swf file in your posts you just have to put it in IMG tags. I know a mate of mine uses flash as his sig on an ezboard so I'll ask him, but I don't think there are any flash specific tags on ezboard. There never used to be...

Yea Buzz, Flash doesn't work on a ubb without html allowed I "think". I know there are some modifications to the ubb code which can be made to make this possible though http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

I tried it on the old board too with HTML.. no go though with just a plainimg tag.

Steve... Have you tried exporting your flash file as an animated gif? and using that? I think the reason it won't just work is because you have to embed flash files instead of just link to them. Not many UBB's allow you to embed anything because of the html restrictions but a lot of EZBoards have html turned on.

Hey.. well I'm just getting my feet wet in Flash but......
If you go to File > Export Movie. You can select Animated Gif from a list of options. Not sure how well this works yet. And Not sure what kind of file size it would produce.. it was just a though.

Been doing well myself..... so much to learn so little time!
Glad to see you back around Steve!
