I do an excell spreadsheet for stats for a spades league and I use Excel and then import to a Homestead web page. I can't figure out how to add graphics to it.

Hey Bud! Welcome.
Got a link to one of those pages?
You probably have to ad graphics after you've posted it to the Homestead page, in the html. Not sure though it depends on Homestead... I'm not all that familiar with Homestead but I'd be happy to take a look and see if I could help.

Buzz : Thanks for you quick reply to my problem! What I do is creat my spreadsheet in Exel and save as web page type and then go to Homestead and import the file to my page. I have not yet figured out how to edit it after importing. Homestead is a great place to do web pages and very easy no html experience is needed, but this still has me stumped.

Well My guess would be that you need some HTML editing to add the graphics. If Bill comes around I'm sure he can give you a bit better help. I believe he's experienced more with Homestead. Problem is that all those online page constructors do things differently even though they pretty much do the same thing.

? Are you talking about me Buzz?.
Is homestead a web server or some kind of program?
I do use homepage-go and homepage.com servers.
In either case their should be a edit feature where you can preview or edit.
Bud_light do you have a link that one can take a peek at?

Bud_light,
Hi. What I did was went ahead and signed up with homestead to see what their setup system was like. Here is my *only* page that I created http://Homestead.com/palws/Bill.html
As you can see, I was able to insert my own background using html even though that wasn't what your question was in the first place. Btw..one royal pain in the a** to do!
I'm going to give you some links to what I found out about homesteads process.
This first one had me going for a second because I'm on a Mac. Java/98 anyone (http://palws.homestead.com/Files/java.gif) . I assume your a windows person so this shouldn't be to much of interest for you.
The second link is just about the same (self-explanatory). I love my Mac (http://palws.homestead.com/Files/self.jpg) .
Now comes your question! No matter what link you click into on these next two links of mine, it sends you to the same page!!! Which is almost like going back to the beginning and creating a whole new page *just* to do some editing!!! One big pain as far as I'm concerned! three (http://palws.homestead.com/Files/3.jpg) .
four (http://palws.homestead.com/Files/4.jpg) !!
Ok here is the last link which gets you to the "file manger" <--or whatever they called it. There you will find a edit button. You'll never guess where it will take you when you click it. YEP (http://palws.homestead.com/Files/edit.gif) the same page as where three and four takes ya.
I forgot one link. If you scroll down to the bottom of the edit page, you'll see where you can insert Graphics, etc. (http://palws.homestead.com/Files/html.jpg)
Btw...all the links are now from homestead.
To summarize all this Bud_light, it can be done although not the friendly webpage/server to work with. Sorry I could not help much more than this but I think you get my drift. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
All this is my opinion only! geezzz..I sound like a warning label on the back of some food package.

Glad to hear you're better http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
You've got a duff link there, however you should be able to just paste the graphic into Excel and it should get converted when you export the html

Oh man... sorry I gave you wrong addy for the stats page. It should be: http://uslstats.homestead.com/index.html and I have tried adding graphics to my spreadsheet and then importing and all I get is a red x.

I don't see any graphics on the page you linked to , after clicking the Shamrock...
The way I would handle this is to take the Excel HTML output into a web editing program, I hate to say this but in this case FrontPage may be the best to use ::shudder:: because hopefully a Microsoft program should read the (poor) code another Microsoft program has produced more accurately.
Add your image in FP and if you can use FP's uploading facilities, although there are problems with using FP's FTP with some servers, particularly those without FP extensions.
