Currently i've set up coolboards and I like the features..they could use a few improved features but i'm finding the boards go down and my members don't have access to the site.

I downloaded something called Snitz forums but don't know if I can run them on 50megs.com which is the website server i'm using...

Hi,

These are the requirements you'll need for snitz forums IIS 4/IIS 5 or PWS Web Server on Intel with NT4, WIN2000, WIN98, WIN95 or WIN ME or an ASP Enabled Web Server on a Unix System (the forum has been tested on Chili!Asp), Microsoft Access 97/2000 or SQL Server 6.5/7.0/2000 or MySql version 3.22 and 3.23 beta (support for Oracle 8i is planned)

Which I "think" 50megs will not offer you. Instead you would need to use paid web hosting to get the features necessary.

They are good forums though if ya can get them working http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

For free boards ezboards are ok though they have increased their self-publicity on them recently http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/frown.gif I used them on a previous version of this site until I got my own server space and had only a few problems with them going down once every so often. Usually they fixed this pretty quickly.

You might consider a hosted board, such as www.ezboard.com (http://www.ezboard.com) which is powerful but easy to set up.

How do I find out if a server supports snitz or other boards? I have space at my server but don't know if they support asp.

I've created an ezboard account..thanks for your help.

Hi Lexi,

You'll need to ask the people running your servers. Tho to be honest I doubt there are few if any free hosts that will offer you asp, and or a cgi-bin required to run most boards.
