Well I honestly have never even attempted to use Word as an HTML editor. And I would not at all recommend anyone do.

However, under the File menu there is "Save as HTML". Simply format your text, save it as an HTML file then upload it to your site. I believe you will need ot insert the graphics and images in your word document as well.

Word 2000 is actually quite OK for very basic pages. If you have a lot of typing to do, the Autocorrect is a boon. Whatever images you create/insert will be saved to a seperate folder than the HTML doc, though in the same location of course, and is automatically named for you.

Microsoft Products are generally not the best way to go about Web Design though.

Notepad (and Wordpad if it's a particularly big page http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) excepted.

Word will convert bmps or whatever to jpg or gif when you do save as html from the file menu.

Corrected. http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif I was speaking generally about Word, Power Point or Front Page and applications along those lines. They write terrible, hideous HTML code. Yuck! Notepad has always been an excellent tool.
