Hi Webby
Java is a compiled language (which I know next to nothing about ;)) that is used to create applets etc. You'll find information about that at www.sun.com, (http://www.sun.com,) I believe you can download the Java Software Developer's Kit, but if you're on a 56K I wouldn't recommend it, I think it's pretty big.
JavaScript is normally placed between script tags in HTML (and I know what I'm doing with JS ;)) and although similar in coding terms is more limited but faster because the browser handles it itself rather than using a Virtual Machine.
You'll find JS in the technologies section at http://developer.netscape.com
As far as the question goes, I'd assume that that statement refers to the compiled language if it doesn't specifically say JavaScript.

Hi webby,
I see steven explained the difference pretty darn good.
As for what the advertisement means you basically have to consider the source. A great many people say "Java" but actually mean Javascript, not realizing the difference. Often ads for web designers mean javascript not Java. However, if the ad is for a programming position they most likely mean Java.
I would take "INTERNET PROGRAMMING USING JAVA" to mean Java. the only way to be sure is to ask whomever made the statemnet.
