Exclamation Averatec Notebook: Motherboard; Help!!!

I recently got an Averatec 3150P Notebook (www.averatec.com) from Ebay for a great price. The only problem with it that it needs a new Motherboard to be installed. I made sure everything else inside the Notebook was good and it was.

My question is, where do I look (online or stores) to get a new Motherboard for my notebook? If someone could point me to a direction, that would be great. I'm all ears for suggestions. Thank you.

Chris

Hi Ghost

Welcome to CTH

I wish you all the best, but I've not found a faulty laptop that could be repaired cheeper than buying a new one. This seems especially true these days with the cost of new laptops coming down.

I hope for your sake I am wrong, please let us know how you get on. BF

Question Thanks guys...

I wouldn't mind rebuilding this notebook, but no one so far has suggested any online stores or retail stores to visit for parts. Theres has to be a place where you can either buy exactly the same motherboard or more of an upgraded motherboard capatable with this Averatec Notebook. Installing it myself wouldn't be a problem.

Or like you guys are suggesting, just rebuild a new Notebook from scatch (I would put in the parts that I already have from the Averatec to save some cash). I'll check out some of the stores this week on what they can do for me. More inpute on this topic would be great, thanks.

Laptop Parts .com may have something you can use. It's a start, anyway.
