I have wordperfect7 and my comp is not online,so rule out a virus. I keep getting a GPD: "this program has preformed an illegal operation, and will be shut down" This happens when I try and get into my files saved in my documents. I open my file and it lets me see everything but soon after the GPD pops up and gives me option of clicking ok or cancel which both by the way shut down my files. I can leave the box on and just move it out of my way and it will let me work inside my files doing regular task like printing, editing, etc, etc. I somehow think this might not be such a good idea to do, and would be greatly appreciative if you could help me lose the GPD. Thanks !

Hi Katelin and welcome to Cyber Tech Help.
I haven't had much experience with WordPerfect but this may have something to do with the operating system or the software itself.
Can you please supply the answers to a few questions so we can make a more informed investigation and comment:
1) What operating system you use - W9x, WME, WNT, W2000, MacOS, Linux etc etc.
2) A few details of hardware - processor speed, RAM amount, hard drive size & free space.
3) You say this problem occurs when accessing files from c:\my documents. Does the same problem occur accessing files from other locations (a:\ drive other folders in c:\)?
Incidentally, not being web connected does not rule out virus infections. Many virii come via floppies or cd-roms.
