Tidal waves hit the east

I heard about this just to night, some very terrible news. But, when I researched this I found this pales in comparison to when Pakistan was hit.

On this article I found in MSN a very disturbing photo of what happened. Should they have put it up there? I think they shouldn't have but that's me.
