Not sure quite where this goes - like, whether it'd be better asked in Hardware or Software.
I'm running a network of nine PCs, all Win98 machines. One of them has an unfortunate tendency to emit a high-pitched continuous beep (an F sharp, though that's likely irrelevant)at certain times during operation. Each time, it lasts for about five minutes. I'm fairly sure it's a hardware issue, as it seems to happen irrespective of whether the computer's idle or active, whether in Excel or Paint or any other application, and none of the utilities I've run through it seem to change things any.
Any and all help gratefully received.
Cheers,
Kolys
