Does your computer come with a restore disk? If so use it. If not:
Do you have a full copy of windows and a CD Key#? If not, do you at least have a valid CD key#? You will need a copy of windows. Depending on what computer you have, you may have a copy of windows on the computer. It would probably be in one of two places: C:\windows\options\cabs or C:\win98. If you have a cdburner you could burn a copy of that folder. That would give you the Cd but you still need the key#. You also need to make a boot floppy. Go to bootdisk.com and download one for win98 that has cdrom support. Let us know when you are ready for the next step.

Not if yo own the license and have the key#. If it was originally installed legally on the computer why should it matter how you put it back. She already paid for it once.

Confused:

As long as they use the original key code for that system, it is quite alright !!

I can't say that i have any of that stuff. I was just hoping that there was some program that i could run or something i could download off of the internet. I tried going where you were talking about in C but found nothing. My apologies for the lack of knowledge that i have on computers....END
