Why so s-l-o-w??

I just returned from a vacation and now my formerly swift 98SE really has the s-l-o-w-s. Can someone tell me how to look for something that might be causing it?

Many thanks!
Patti

Try running "HiJack This". Link is HERE. (You'll need to scroll down a little bit on the page). Post the results in the "Cyber Safety Forum"

Hi Patti Flynn Hei

Please go here and download Spybot Search&Destroy:
http://www.safer-networking.org/inde...&page=download

Check for updates before running the program. A tutorial can be found under help. You can safely delete what it finds.

Do likewise with Adaware SE that can be found here:
http://lavasoft.element5.com/software/adaware/

If you PC is still slow after using the above please do what NealM suggests.
