I've recently bought a barebone system and transferred my old hard drive to it and everything appears to be running fine until after about 20 minutes of running time. My CPU temp can be anywhere from 100 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit. And no matter whether I'm in my bios or in Windows 98 it will freeze. And it can be anytime and at any temperature. Could you please help me.

Hi there,
Since no one has tried to help you, I'll jump in for the time being. It could be the power supply unit that is giving out. The motherboard could have something wrong with it causing it to freeze up. The BIOS for example could be playing games with the system. This is something that could be just about anything. You sure that the CPU is correct for the settings?
BTW, what kind of a system is it?

Hi,
I would check to make sure your multiplier and fsb is correct, and that the cpu fan is positioned well over the cpu and that it's spinning well.
I'm going to move this over to our Hardware & Overclocking board which you can find by Clicking Here (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Hardware+|AMP|+Overclocking&number=6&DaysPrune=30&LastLogin=) http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif
Could you please give us a full system specs rundown incl. cpu make model and speed, mobo make and model and amount of ram. Plus which OS you are using.
Thanks,
MiShY
