hi please could you help me to help my friend transfer her photos onto a floppy disk from her windows 98 computer she wants to put them on a floppy in case her computer crashes and she looses them she hasn't got a cd rewriter. my son says that she wouldn't be able to put many photos on the floppy disk as they take up a lot of space is he right many thanks Diane

hes right, may only be able to get a couple. Possibly more depending upon the quality and extension. Could try winzip them and get more.
There are several online photo albums, maybe she could store them there. Or winzip them and store them in a gmail account as a message attachment.

DVD Writers are pretty cheap these days. It maybe a good time to invest in one.
Another problem with floppies is that they are not very reliable and corrupt pretty easily.

If he just "MUST" use a floppy he could zip or "compress" a few photos then save them to disk. That way he might be able to get more photo's on a disk and end up using less disks overall.
