Wolfenstein 3D - Trouble installing

Hi - I have the Wolfenstein 3D from shareware - the very first release of the game. When I try ti install the game by running the INSTALL.BAT, I am getting a pop up mwssage saying: "The system file is not suitable for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications...." Any inputs to install the games - Thanks:blush:

Can you please explain what you mean by saying you got the program from shareware? :)

This is the much older version of wolfenstein. It cannot be run in windows and needs to be installed and run from dos because its a dos game. The only other way around this is a dos box emulator that allows you to run dos games while still in windows.
