Okay. I have a compaq 5282. I brought it in to be cleaned & have the floppy zip drive repaired. The floppy (drive a) was replaced by tech. Problem: drive a is no accessible..Because its now drive E..I can't back a back-up disk or copy to the drive. Can the letters be reassigned by me? Or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks..
