Windows media player

I recently installed realplayer then decided it wasnt as good as media player so i uninstalled it. But now, when i go to watch a video clip online it splits my screen and plays it on the left hand side, whereas before my windows media player used to automatically start in another window. Could someone please tell me how to get back to that as i have tried everything i can think of.

Go to Internet Options->Advanced and scroll down a bit and check the box that says Don't display online media content in media bar. That will take care of it.
