Unhappy Win98 Start Up

I REFORMATTED HARD DRIVE , HAVE WIN98 START UP DIST FROM OTHER COMPUTER , ON BOOT UP WIN98 FLASHES THEN I GET WIN98 C: TYPE SETUP GET ERROR SAYING CANT RUN PROGRAM IN DOS

Howdy and welcome to CTH:

Download a win98SE or WinME bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com Once you have downloaded it, just run the file to extract the needed boot files to a clean, formatted floppy..

Next, boot into BIOS and make sure your first boot device is set to a: drive (floppy).. Put the boot floppy in a: drive, save the change to exit BIOS and let the system reboot..

Use the option to start WITH cd-rom support.. Once you get to a:> prompt, put your Win98 cd in, change to your cd-rom drive (probably one letter higher than normal) and type in setup

Let Windows do its thing !!
