I'm running Windows 98 and for the past week or so my popups have just been a blank box. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this?

Do you use a pop-up blocker?

I do have something from AOL but it's never been a problem in the past. When I allow popups from these sites I still get the white box. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but since I downloaded a Darts demo it seems to have gone like this. How do I make sure the demo is completely off my computer?

Hi
Please go here and download Spybot Search&Destroy:

Check for updates before running the program. A tutorial can be found under help. You can safely delete what it finds.
Do likewise with Adaware SE that can be found here:

If it did not come with an uninstall app, try control panel/add-remove programs and see if listed in there. If you have already deleted the folders for that app and it was not done using an uninstall, you may have to go through the registry using key words from that program and delete.
I've helped folks with similar probs and had them reinstall the program and uninstall it the proper way.
Good luck.

Already got those, TJolly. They're no help I'm afraid.
Big Dog, it's not in my programs menu so you'd suggest downloading it again and uninstalling the correct way? What is the correct way?

Could it be something to do with the memory? Why would a window be blank when you've already accessed the page?

If you install a program, any program, and it installs files all over the place including the registry, then it usually comes with an uninstall option or puts it in the add/remove section to be uninstalled from there.
By reinstalling the program, if these options were available and had been deleted, it will reinstall these options.
Mind you, not all programs install the same way. Some programs or apps are just self-contained and run with what ever is in the setup folder. This type of prog/app can just be deleted at the folder level.
But it shouldn't hurt to reinstall the program and check these things.
Then again, this game may have nothing to do with your popups.
I though not having the popups was a good thing?;)
Good luck.
