outlook express 6 email question

i recently upgraded to xp from win 98 se. i use a couple of different email addys and often switch between them. when i was using win 98 i just went to file>>switch identity and choose another. the program would switch right over into the new email account.
with xp, after i choose the new identy i get another prompt asking for identy login, then i must choose the identity again.

did i miss hitting a selection somewhere? is there a way to switch between email accounts in one step?

also when i choose "use this identity when starting a program" and i choose my main email identity, i sudddenly cannot change to another account. when i switch to another it stays with the selection. so i leave that one unchecked.

It should work as 98. It does for me.

Have you tried removing the accounts and identities and starting from scratch?
