Windows Memory Diagnostic

Hi, everyone,

My system (Win XP) crashed because the RAM containing Window program code was corrupted. Microsoft Corpn. recommended me to download the Windows Memory Diagnostic software to test my PC for errors. But, I feel that it may take a long time in downloading and may not be safe enough. I would rather buy Microsoft Memory Diagnostic software. But, our computer store (e.g.Challenger) in Singapore does not have it. How and where to buy this kind of diagnostic software?

Thank you.

From Singapore

as far as I know you cannot purchase it. however, it is safe to download and should only take a couple of minutes to download.

Dan,
I had downloaded it and installed in my hard disk in My Document. When I tried to open it, it provided an option for me to use the web service to find the appropriate program. After my selection, it linked to shell.windows.com but the page could not be found or viewed. What can I do in this situation?
Thank you.
