Angry video decoders are not compatible with windows media 10 what do I do?

So I have figured out that none of the video decoders that are on my computer are compatible with Windows Media 10, and is thus messing up my computer. Now I cannot hear anything using Windows Media. Before it was just when I was trying to play movies that there would be no sound. Can anyone tell me where to get a video decoder that would be compatible for my computer?

I am running Windows XP Pro

I am so sick of this brand laptop. It has given me soo much trouble and I have had to spend way more money trying to get it fixed than I should have.

If anyone knows how I can sue them to get a better laptop that acutally works let me know.lol.
