I am trying to send my resume thru the internet and many employers do not want attachments but ask for a text file to be sent. Can you tell me what this is and exactly how to go about it. I'm a novice at all of this and would really appreciate your input. Thanks

Hi ween, welcome to CTH!
Put your resumé on your PC, in a folder or someplace. Open it, and highlight the whole thing by pressing ctrl>A. Then press ctrl>C to copy the whole thing. Open a new blank e-mail, and in the body press ctrl>V to paste.
Hope thats what you want......... :)

Hi Zipulrich,
Thank you for your help. You are a lifesaver. It worked beautifully and I'm not frustrated anymore, and my hair will slowly grow back. (ha ha ).
