I wanted to completely clean one of my pcs to get it ready to install winxp
I purchased Wipedrive vers3 I believe I followed all instructions and was told the entire process should take approx.30m.
1 1\2 later still @only 40% what am I doing wrong?

Howdy:
Just wondering why one would buy a program that WinXP does all on it's own when you install it??
One of the features of XP is its ability to partition and format the drive you are installing it on. That wipes out anything on the drive as it is..

No,winxp wouldn't install received errors after errors from "winxp cant find HD"to "missing hal dll files" reformatting is last resort before I through the CD in the garbage:disgust:

Then a plain old Win98 or Me Bootdisk will do that for you.. Or Killdisk..
Where did you get your XP cd from?? It may have a corrupted file which is why it won't do its thing !!
