MSN- Getting microphone to work

Hi, my girlfriend lives in China and i am trying to get my microphone to work in her new office. Before in her old office the microphone symbol would conect infequently but it would eventually. Webcams work okay. (in MSN)

Now she has moved office she can still view my webcam but we cannot get the microphones to achieve 'connected' status

Does anyone have ideas?

I rarely use a microphone for this kinda thing, but usually with such a program like MSN, there's a way of running a "test" for using a microphone whereupon you have to set it up to work, other than that, it may be an ISP issue or something like that.

Yes I think ive heard of it, do you know how to run a test through msn on a microphone? I will have a look and post back
