Epson C80 printer

I have installed the C80 to a pc operating windows 98 but it won't print. It needs 64 ram to operate and the pc has just this.
The port is ok as the old printer works and the cables are new. The printer is ok as it works fine on my laptop. Could it be that the pc needs more ram memory?
I have tried reinstalling it several times but it is no good. Can anyone help please? :confused:

is this the ONLY printer you have used on this system ?

try this ..

double click "my computer"
double click "printers"
RIGHT click on the icon for this printer
in the menu , make sure there is a check next to "set as default"
