I bought my son pc game need for speed underground 2. After loading game it allows you to load it, but when you try to play it the screen flickers when it comes to loading car type and track. Then once the race begins the speedo clock and track map flickers any idea how to get rid of this.

Check that you have the most up to date driver for the video card. Also check that the specs required to run the game don't exceed your computer's specs.
