Norton SystemWorks 2003

Hello hope someone can shed some light on this problem. In Norton Personal Firewall , Intrusion Detection is set to 'off', and there is no way it will let me turn it on. I get a warning msg saying:"Failed to save settings. Please verify that your windows account is not restricted." My windows acc is in no way restricted as far as im concerned - Im the only named user and I have full rights, or so I thought.

Also, when it comes to Live Update, that doesnt work either (I have to turn Norton firewall OFF to access this ) It gets so far then says "Live Update must udate Symantec Redirector. Please Install this update first(?), restart your computer then run LiveUpdate again". Then,"Update not completed" and the details are: (Error Msg 1806)

Ive looked on Symantec site, but cant make head or tail of it.

If I dont get it solved, I shall install Zone Alarm (I already have AVG anti-virus just in case)

Thanks

Hi,
I don't know if you already seen this on Symantec/Norton site but it seems to describe your problem.
