Currently having trouble getting subscribed
to the appropriate microsoft support news group to solve this one.
Can anybody here help please?

I get this error message, and am unable to find information about:
What it means, and what needs to be done to correct things.

"Error in MSACM32.DLL"
Would appreciate any replies also be sent to
barbking@clear.net.nz

Thanks

Hi Chookperson! You may need to reinstall a clean copy of that .dll file. You don't state when you get that error (i.e. when playing audio in a certain program, all the time, whatever) but for starters you can look at this Knowledge Base article (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q133365).

If that don't do it, we'll figure out something else.

Hi Zipulrich
Thanks for responding.
:o as I'm not able to capture what was being done when this message came up.
This is likely to be because I'm chasing several other error messages, dealing with an unsolicited virus, and am in
major brain fade.

Will keep u in touch with progress.
:)
