I just installed this and thought I'd share it with you. This "white" light is very bright and if you have clear, or nearly clear areas on your badge, it glows. Looks great if I do say so myself. http://store.yahoo.com/directron/ellight.html

The kit comes with a dome to make your own case badge, but I really like these people: www.ebaystores.com/shadowmajik (http://www.ebaystores.com/shadowmajik)
(No, I don't own the company). They have a large assortment of domed badges for 3 bucks, including postage, and they'll put your name on some of them for free. I bought one called "custom laser design" that was perfect for the badge light kit from Directron.

Don't EVEN get me started on that EL case badge lighting kit.... :D

EDIT: OK, ok...since zipulrich let the cat out of the bag... :D Some folks have expressed they really like the kit. That's fine. Not to be the cynic (but I will be anyway...) and certainly not to steal your thunder there, nooyawkah (love that handle BTW--ROFL!), my experience with it is this--

1. It's too bright. Washes out the colors. Even blackest blacks become almost transparent. I wanted the colors to show on the badge.
2. That pink membrane on the "screen" is extremely thin. If you try to change out the badge, it takes a surgeon's skill to remove it from the membrane without tearing it up and ruining the printed circuit underneath. This kit is really a one-shot deal. Managed to replace the badge despite the above, but the thing wouldn't light up well--only intermittently.

I finally chucked it and made my own out of diffused clear LED and some diffused acrylic. Lights up the badge very well, yet the true colors remain. Black is black, blue is blue, etc.. And I can easily peel the "old" badge off and replace it with a new one if I so choose. Just my 2.5¢...
Can make your own case badges with a kit from Pham Computer (http://phamcomputer.safeshopper.com/74/cat74.htm?617). Take a 600x600 image, shrink down to 1x1" in the Page Setup of your graphics program, print the image on glossy paper, then use the kit to make the badge.
