I use the 'back' button on my browser a lot on this site and it generally works well apart from if I post anything. I've also seen a lot of posts that were edited because of double posting, no doubt due to use of the 'back' button. Is there a way of getting round this ?
p.s. great site, I've recoommended it to all my friends, thanks to all the Mods :)

Hi johnny d,
Thanks for the compliments. In most cases, the double post occurs because there is a hiccup at the server, or somewhere in between. just as someone hits the submit button when posting. When it appears that the post didn't go through, people resubmit the post, even though it went through the first time. The result is a double post.
Generally speaking, hitting the back button right after you posted, doesn't resubmit the entry even if you see the "Thanks for posting" screen. It usually takes hitting that submit button to do it.
There are a few rumors floating around about a re-design of the site, but I will let the site owner, Mishy, deal with such rumors...LOL :D
Thanks for coming to CTH and telling your friends about it. The more people that come here....the better and stronger we get.
