I just want to say that in the long time i have been a member here, the service has been great, and the members the same, and that CTH has grwon into the community that we all know and love. I don't think anyone else has said this, but i think that Mishy has done a great job setting up the site, with help from numerous Moderaters and Members, without whom the site could never exist. We should all show our thanks to these guys. I also want to let people know that you don't have to have a technical problem to post on CTH. Any problems you have with any computer related issues are accepted on this board, and any member or mod would be glad to help you out with it, no matter how small or large it may be. Thanks alot guys!!!

AMEN to that !

And let me add this:
All members and mods, who are able to help one with a problem, are SO quick to give what information they might have about the particular problem.

That is just SO great !

Kind regards,
Lotte G., Denmark

Since I've found this beloved site no task has been too big to tackle on any computer I might work on. Though I'm mostly in the hardware forums, I can't imagine any other forums to be inferior. All in all, I plan to use this utility/comp-family until the new members are numbered in the millions. I appreciate all the info you geniuses(mods&members) give! Thanks ;)

rplay, I thought you might be including me in what you said about CTH until you mentioned the word "geniuses" Boy that sure threw me out of the running... :D

Seriously, thanks for you compliments on CTH. Well appreciated....

Not to change the subject, but what do you(everyone) think about creating a forum just for helping people find ways to get computers, software or even hardware. Not just problems but purchasing info. I myself am a dad of 2 and have a crappy job and have limited myself in my love of computers due to financial reasons. I've jumped through some flaming hoops to get what I have. It would be nice to have a forum just to share some of the "hoops" off to others finacially disabled. :)

Ya know, that ain't a bad idea. I wonder if we could have a "Swap Meet" type of forum where we could offer for sale or trade used computer parts and programs. This is done on car sites. Hmmmmmm, very interesting.

I've seen such forums before junky and honestly, things can gt ugly real quick. I don't know about having a Swap Meet forum. A forum ofr helping people find things would be cool but I would stay away from an ebay forum. :)

I also think it could get ugly. I am a eBay member and think it's very safe but there is no trading involved. Switchouse on the other hand is mostly trading and is pissing me off as we speak. What I recommend is just the knowledge of what I'm speaking now for example. Buy here, don't buy there; but just a forum for people looking to purchase used or new things for a somewhat reasonable price. Trading get's nasty if you don't trust people.

Not nescessarily a Swap Meet or For Sale, but maybe a Hot Deals type thing where members who spot or get info on some really good deal on item(s), can post them for otheres to get in on if they like. There is already a sight like that elsewhere in a not real friendly atmosphere, but I have saved big bucks on some things there.

I suggested this in an earlier thread, but like I said, there already is one like that around, but there are also 50+ Win98 forums around too.

Yep, we need to do something along those lines. Some way to share info on software and hardware deals.

I agree with zipulrich. It probably won't have to be a "not friendly" atmosphere to work though. A couple of site I hang out at have free software downloads and are pretty cool so I think our family atmosphere can maintain as long as Junky don't mind givin' us rides here in the dodge.

Ok, Junky........final offer. The above-mentioned chips, PLUS a (slightly used) Avatar 250MB removable drive, and a ride in my (soon-to-be-purchased) Cutlass 442 with factory installed Hurst shift kit.
Deal??? :D
