A link to an index to explain the abbreviations to us newbies would be VERY :) :) :) nice! (i.e. lol, btw, etc.)

ah yea I see what you mean now :) Things like LOL, FWIW, FYI or ROFL etc.

I really don't like how people overuse the shorthand stuff
I use a few, such as FYI, IMO, JIC (just in case)
but when chatting with people I think the 'laughing' stuff gets out of hand...
