Just got a new computer--can't get it to connect to internet. I am typing this from the other computer on network. No hardware was changed --Just connection from old computer was placed in new computer. We have a router and a cable connection. Everything worked before hooking up new computer. Both computers have XP. I ran the network wizard. Anybody got any ideas?

Is the computer that won't connect to the internet connected to the router by a wired connection or a wireless connection? Is there a firewall running on the computer that could be blocking access? Can you ping any address from a command line? For example if you get a command prompt and type ping yahoo.com what does it do? Post back some info and we will try to help you out.
