I successfully uploaded a one-page web site built in Office 2003's Publisher to the server last weekend. Today I uploaded a replacement page. Now, when I go to the URL now all I see is the file directory hierarchy. What am I doing wrong? (Thank you).

Does the page have the correct naming format, such as index.htm

Degsy, Here is why I say "yes" to your question: When you start the upload function in Publisher the first action step is to open up the connection with the server, which enables me to see the files that are there. There are four folders named "etc," "mail," "public_ftp," and "public_html;" and one file named "index.htm." The name of the file I am sending is also "index.htm."
The second step is send (or upload) which triggers a dialogue box that tells me I am about to replace the index.htm file on the server, and do I want to do that? I ok the replacement and watch the progress reports as the ftp executes.
However, I'm still seeing the index of files and folders when I go to the URL.

It could be that your website is not setup with index.htm as the default file.
You would have to contact the webhost about that.
Does the page load if you access it directly http://domain.ext/index.htm

When I go to http://domain.ext/index.htm I get "Not Found" plus a "404 Not Found error was encountered" message. I'll call tech support at the ISP and see what they say and post back here FYI.

Degsy - here is what I learned: the mistake I was repeating was uploading the update to "ftp.domain.ext" intead of uploading it to "ftp.domain.ext/index_public.html".
I haven't been in the forums here for quite some time, but it was you who helped through some issues last year...you have a name that is hard to forget. Anyway, I hope you had a good year last year, your health is good, and you are expecting better returns this year. I appreciate your service to this board. Thank you very, very much....again.
Cheers back to you!
